School, Library & Festival Visits
I love bringing books, drawing and storytelling into conversations with people of all ages, and creating space for questions, ideas and imagination.
As a Hong Kong-born, UK-based author-illustrator, I create picture books about family, belonging, memory and change. I enjoy sharing the creative process behind my books, from the first idea and sketch to the finished story.
I offer author visits, school talks and creative workshops for schools, libraries, book festivals and community organisations.
Author Visits & Workshops (virtual and in-person)
Sessions typically run 45–60 minutes. A visit usually includes reading and storytelling, a look at the inspiration behind my books, sketches and the picture-book making process, and how words and pictures work together. Depending on the setting, sessions can also include live drawing, visual storytelling, and creative activities and discussion.
Longer sessions can include a more in-depth look at the making process, more live drawing, and more time for questions.
Workshops can be adapted for different ages and settings, and may explore themes such as storytelling, family, belonging and visual imagination.
The best visits happen when students have had some time with my work beforehand, whether reading my books or creating art related to the themes we'll explore together.
